A Study on the Parasites Infection for Inhabitants Around Tae-Jon District

Abstract
|
|
|
The incidence of Intestinal parasites on the out patient Chung-Nam National University Hospital were studied with fecal examination from June 1972 to May, 1973.
Direct smear method, Brine flotation method, and Formalin-Ether sedimentation method were applied, mainly. More than 1, 400 out patients around Tae-Jon district were examined their intestinal parasites Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichocephalus tricheurus. Hook worm and Trichostrongylus orientalis.
The following results were obtained.
1) The total positive rate of intestinal belminths were 63.2°0- among 1.451 persons(Male 63.9x, Female 62. 1%).
2) The infection rate of A. lumbricoides, Tr. tricheurus, H. worm, T. orientalis, were 45.8%, 36.8%, 10.5% and 7. 1%%.
3. The negative conversion rate after Mass treatment were A, lumbricoides and H. worm were 90. 1% and 95. 0%, respectively.
